why these two
They do unrelated things, and that is the point. The weights are a routine you build over weeks; the balm is for the days when skin is dry or sore. Neither depends on the other, so buying one does not commit you to the other.

where to start with the weights
The lightest, 50 g, for a week or two. Ten to fifteen minutes a day is plenty, and longer is not better. The heaviest weight is not a test.

care
Wash the weights with warm water and a gentle cleanser before and after use; boil for three to five minutes for a deeper clean, and store them dry in the pouch. The balm needs nothing but a closed lid.
